Reclaiming my own Body

Reclaiming my own Body is a powerful project that documents and showcases my healing journey from complex trauma, using photography as a powerful tool for recovery and raising awareness about sexual abuse. Through my lenses I aim to shed light on my once-feared and shameful darkness, showing that it can also be beautiful and powerful as I reclaim and take back ownership of my body, once stolen from me and broken up. Photography is a tool that helped me stick all my broken parts together through embrace of forgiveness, compassion and love towards myself.

Rebirth
Through my lens, I capture my healing journey from complex trauma, using photography as a powerful instrument for recovery, while shedding light on the profound and enduring impact of sexual abuse.

Hold me tight
In a literal sense, photography served as a cathartic tool to confront my disconnected and distorted body, to embrace all the parts that were stolen from me and broken into pieces, and to restore my ownership of it with absolute strength.
