Woman Boxing Training

Boxing Therapy

For women who don’t just want to talk about what happened — but need to move what is still living and stuck in their bodies.

A trauma-informed, science backed, non-contact boxing approach to release trauma, stress, anger, fear, tension, and survival energy in a safe way with a female coach who's been through the same.

What's Boxing Therapy?

Boxing Therapy is NOT a workout.

It's trauma-informed, science backed, body-based approach that uses non-contact structured rhythmic boxing, breath, and mindfulness to help your body release what it has been holding with co-regulation and safety of a coach who's been through it too.

How it helps?

When you have been in survival mode for too long, your body can keep holding the fight, the fear, the tension, and the protection.

Even when your mind knows you are safe now, your body doesn't feel it.

Boxing Therapy gives that energy somewhere safe to go.

Through punching, rhythm, breath, grounding, and guided movement, your body can begin to release what it has been carrying — without needing to explain everything again or even talk about it.

About me

I am Gigi, founder of Move to Heal and Knockout Ladies.

I work with women who have been strong for too long.

I became a Boxing Therapy Coach not only because of my background in coaching, personal training, boxing, somatic work, and nervous system regulation — but because I live with CPTSD myself.

Even with all my knowledge, I know what it feels like when your mind understands the trauma, but your body still feels unsafe.

That is why this work matters so deeply to me.

Because healing is not only something we understand.

It is something the body has to feel.

Who is it for?

Boxing Therapy is for you if you are done only talking about it  and you are ready to feel and to move it out of your body.

For the woman who has understood the patterns, read the books, gone to therapy, journaled, analyzed, and tried to “fix” herself…

But her body still reacts.

You are still stuck on survival mode.
You still Freeze.
You still get Activated.

You still are in a loop between both.

You still hold tension, anger, fear, or exhaustion inside in your body.

This work is for you if you're ready to release it and feel lighter, calmer and alive, like yourself again.

How is a session?

A session is guided, safe, and adapted to your body and mind needs.

We may use boxing pads, boxing bag, simple punching combinations, breath, shaking, grounding, body awareness, and moments of rest.

You don’t need to be fit.
You don’t need boxing experience.
You don’t need to perform.

You are guided step by step, with choice, consent, and space to pause whenever your body needs it.

My Approach

I don’t work with a fixed protocol.

Every client is unique for me.

I read your body.

Your breath.
Your posture.
Your tension.
Your pace.
Your energy.
Your capacity in that moment.

Some sessions are intense and expressive.

Some are slow, gentle, and grounding.

Some are about anger.
Some are about fear.
Some are about finding your voice again.

My role is to guide you safely between expression and regulation — so your body can release without becoming overwhelmed.

Why Boxing Works for Trauma Release?

Physical release of stored tension

Trauma and stress are commonly held in the neck, shoulders, back and hips. Boxing movements naturally mobilise these areas, helping to release built-up muscular tension and complete stress response cycles that may have been interrupted.

Safe expression of suppressed emotions

Many people have been conditioned to suppress emotions such as anger or rage. Boxing provides a safe, structured outlet to access and express anger, frustration, guilt and grief in ways that may not be accessible through talking therapies alone.

Nervous system regulation and the vagus nerve

Trauma Release Boxing incorporates tools that support vagus nerve function - a key component of emotional regulation and resilience. Through rhythm, breath, movement and co-regulation, participants can move from survival states into a more regulated and connected state.

Completion of the stress response

In trauma, the body often prepares for action but is unable to complete it. Boxing allows the body to push, strike and move energ

Because sometimes healing needs softness.

And sometimes healing needs strength.

Boxing can help you reconnect with the parts of you that had to stay quiet, small, frozen, or pleasing for too long.

It gives your body a safe way to express anger, protect your space, feel your power, and remember:

I am here.
I have a voice.
I am allowed to take up space.
